The NASA Apollo Mission Sunglasses

These are the sunglasses reminiscent of those issued to NASA astronauts who served on Apollo missions. Based on technology designed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to protect astronauts’ eyes from solar radiation, the lenses block blue and violet rays that impair vision yet allow sight-enhancing green, yellow, orange, and red rays to reach the retina. They also help improve visual clarity by blocking 99.9% of harmful UVA and UVB rays while making objects appear more distinct and improving definition. The lenses are subjected to multiple coatings that resist glares and scratches, repel water and dust, and reduce smudges. The mirrored lenses are set in a lightweight stainless steel and enamel frame that has soft silicone nose pads for a comfortable fit. Includes a zippered case and microfiber cleaning pouch.
